Cut & sew your own outdoor gear workshop

NO WORKSHOPS PRESENTLY SCHEDULED

Learn the basics of operating industrial sewing machines, patterns, materials and making your own gear.

This is an introductory course to industrial sewing and textiles, and no experience is necessary.

We will be constructing actual products made & sold for Kohutt™. We'll begin with an overview of industrial sewing machines, materials and machine configuration and maintenance. We'll then move onto practicing sewing on a range of different industrial sewing machines. Each machine is unique and has it's own features and challenges.

After lunch, we'll start cutting our patterns and constructing our first pieces of gear using a range of materials, zips and finishes. By the end of the day, you'll go home with something you have created, utilising your newly found industrial gear making skills!
